摘要

Cytokines play an important role in the pathogenesis of Lymphomas . The aim of this study was to determine the diagnostic value of interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels in sera of patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), and to establish its expression in neoplastic cells. The ability of NHL to produce IL-6 was examined by determining IL-6 mRNA levels. Finally, the prognostic value of serum IL-6 in NHL was estimated by taking into consideration the response to treatment and overall survival.
