Bioplastics developer cereplast announced in February 2014 that it has filed voluntary petition for relief under chapter 11 of the us Bankruptcy code in indiana’s district bankruptcy court. the company claims it plans to clean up its capitalisation structure amid continued business reorganisation, during the period of security offered under chapter 11. a similar approach was taken by multinational print and imaging firm, Kodak, in 2012-13.
