The year was 1978, the month November, the day a Saturday, the time 10:00 a.m. and the typical Saturday morning meeting was underway of the notorious Meador Gang: Rooster and Billy Meador and the four foster children currently living in their home along the railroad tracks in Hinton, WV. The gang members were close in age, some in the first grade, some in kindergarten, and all were of the same mind: Saturday morning TV Westerns, the best of the day to them being The True Story of Jesse James (1957), with Robert Wagner and Jeffrey Hunter in the starring roles.
