Central Appalachian barged thermal coal prices edged higher in the five-day trading period ended November 8, narrowing the discount to the higher-priced rail-delivered (CSX) CAPP coal price. The front-quarter Q1 2013 CAPP barge contract gained $1.25/st to $62.35/ st in the period. The Cal 2013 contract gained 75 cents/st to $65.55/mt.
