摘要

Last year, the tomato yellow leaf curl virus was discovered in California for the first time. The deadly virus, which is spread by certain types of whiteflies, was discovered in a non-commercial greenhouse in Brawley. Although there have been no definitive signs of the virus in tomato fields this year, researchers are working to prevent the spread of the virus. The concern is that it could wreak havoc in the tomato industry if it gets a foothold in California.
