Consultant doubtful Ontario gov't can shut coal plant as planned

On the same day the Alberta energy minister told the Canadian Conference on Coal that he planned to travel that day to Toronto to make a pitch for the continued use of coal in Ontario's generation mix, a consultant flatly asked and then answered the question attendees had been pondering. "Will the government be able to meet its 2007 target [of shutting down all five of Ontario's coal-fired power plants]?" asked Sean Conway of Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP. "I think not."
