West Virginia coal operator Chris Cline has taken some outside investment from ArcLight Capital Partners LLC out of Boston and there is a plan for ArcLight, if not Cline himself, to acquire other mines nationwide. There had been recent indications that Cline had taken outside investment in some of his operations, but the details were unclear at the time (CO 7/14). A few more details can now be added. Ardight said on its web site (http://www.arclightcapital.com) that it has formed a company in partnership with Cline's Cline Resource and Development called Trout Coal Holdings LLC.
