Four finalists picked to acquire B.C. Rail

The British Columbia Ministry of Transportation has selected four railroads as finalists to take over the operations of British Columbia Rail. The ministry invited Canadian Pacific, Canadian National, Rail America and OmniTrax, partnered with Burlington Northern Santa Fe, to submit proposals for taking over operation and management. A provincial evaluation committee is expected to select the top contender by September or October.
