摘要

Field experiments were conducted on a sandy loam soil to study the effect of different levels of NPK, organic manures, panchakavya and bio-fertilizers (BF) on root, seed yield and quality of Ashwagandha roots. The highest root yield of (348 & 333 kg ha-1) and a seed yield of 950 & 612 kg ha-1 during two consecutive rabi and kharif season, respectively was noticed with the conjunctive use of 150% NPK along with castor cake @ 2.5 t ha-1 and bio-fertilizers. The total alkaloid contents in root and leaf, however, were not affected by the integrated application of fertilizers, manures, panchakavya and BF.
