Effect of ecofriendly materials on the management of anthracnose of Thippali (Piper longum).

Anthracnose of Thippali caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (Penz) Penz and Sacc. is a serious disease observed in the medicinal gardens of College of Agriculture, Vallayani, Thiruvananthapuram. Different ecofriendly materials and their combinations were tested against anthracnose of Thippali. Out of the fifteen treatments tested individually and in combinations Ovis 1 g/L as foliar application gave maximum disease suppression. Among the combinations tested Aspergillus terreus+neem cake gave maximum disease suppression.
