摘要

Grain boundary segregation is classified into equilibrium segregation and non-equilibrium segregation [1]. Equilibrium segregation is caused during equilibration of the system and is a thermodynamic process [2]. Non-equilibrium segregation is caused by super-saturated point defect (vacancy or interstitial)-impurity complexes, which may be created by quenching [3,4] or irradiation [5,6], and is a kinetic process.
