摘要

Dispersion of ceramic powders in aqueous suspensions is of special significance in the ceramic industry. Colloidal methods are believed to be a potential way to eliminate the structural defect and stress centers in the sintered product. Because significant modifications of surface properties are involved in the process, adsorption of polymeric dispersants onto particles has been extensively investigated [1-3]. Acrylate-based polymers have been widely used as dispersants to enhance the stability of the suspension. In the past, the application and adsorption characteristics of acrylate-based polymers such as polyacrilic acid (PAA), polymethacrilic acid (PMAA) and ammonium polymethacrylate (PMAA-NH_4) as dispersants for silicon nitride have been reported [4-6].
