Barium ferrite materials are promising candidates for high density recording media [1-4]. It has a large magnetic anisotropy energy as well as excellent chemical and mechanical stability. During last few decades a considerable effort has been done on the deposition of Ba-ferrite thin film for recording media, due to the advances in the integrated circuits, reducing the cost and size of these devices. In this paper our effort has been directed towards the preparation of polycrystalline Ba-ferrite by rf sputtering [5] with a high degree in c-axis perpendicular orientation. This is sufficient to produce perpendicular anisotropy in film where c-axis is oriented normal to the film plane. The structure, surface morphology, magnetic properties study of Ba-Ferrite film under different annealing condition and sputtering condition will be reported in our present paper.
