BMP eyes rail financing, looks for test burn customers

BMP Investments is optimistic that financing will come through for a 30-mile rail spur from Roundup, Mont., to Billings that will allow it to use Burlington Northern Santa Fe rail lines to access Great Lakes and Mississippi River routes for coal out of its Bull Mountain deep mine. Bull Mountain holds the promise of selling up to 615 million tons of high-Btu compliance coal for industrial and utility use over the next 30 years, William O. Penn, vice president for marketing and sales for BMP sales agent for Roudup Trading International LLC, told attendees at last week's 26~(th) annual convention of the Montana Coal Council.
