摘要

In the past few years the magnetic and electronic properties of iridium-containing perovskites have attracted considerable interest [1-6], because of the wide range of variation giving behaviour ranging from semiconducting to metallic, frequently associated with cooperative magnetic properties. Special interest has been focused on the stabilization of unusual oxidation states of some transition-metal cations. In this context, various examples of perovskites in which the Ir5"1" cation may be stabilized In an octahedral coordination have been reported [6-8].
