The Office of Surface Mining is not expected to release the amount of the grant funding available for abandoned mine cleanup before the end of the year, a spokesman said last week. “All I know is that OSM will not be announcing the FY 2013 AML grant distributions this month,” OSM spokesman Peter Mali said in an email on December 17.
