Results are presented of an experiment conducted in rabi 2004-05 in Parbhani, Maharashtra, India, involving 4 N levels (0, 50, 100 and 150 kg/ha) and 4 French bean (P. vulgaris) genotypes (Arka Komal, Varun, Contender and PDR 14). Data were recorded for dry matter accumulation, total dry matter per plant, number of green pods, green pod weight per plant, yield components (dry pod weight, number of seeds per pod, seed weight per plant and 100-seed weight), green pod, seed, dry pod, straw and biological yields. The application of 150 kg N/ha to Varun growing is beneficial for obtaining higher yield in Marathwada region, Maharashtra, India.
