We examine the results of the studies that have been performed at IMASh RAN under the guidance of Prof. N. I. Prigorovskii on the development of various experimental and analytic-experimental methods for studying the stress-strain state of the complex structures. We describe the effective applications of these methods in ensuring the strength and reliability of a large number of new-technology structures, and discuss the prospects for the further development and application of the experimental mechanics methods.
