The MIKRUS longwall system-new thin seam mining technology

Based on the analysis of the data on operational resources, about 1 billion tonnes of coal in Poland is deposited in thin seams. In the world, the percentage of thin coal seams in active mines amounts to ca. 30%, what gives a large volume of potential coal production. Engineering design of an efficient and safe longwall system has been essential to develop this market niche.
