Cougar seeks Indonesian UCG projects with Medco Energi

Australia's Cougar Energy has signed an MOU with PT Medco Energi Mining Internasional to assess and identify coal deposits in Indonesia suitable for underground coal gasification (UCG) technology and prepare for preliminary studies on their commercial development. The MOU offers the potential of a JV between Cougar and the Indonesian mining company for the development of the projects. Jakarta-based Medco Energi Mining Internasional is a subsidiary of listed Indonesian oil, gas and power company PT Medco Energi Internasional.
