Russia - development success with miner bolters Recent rapid production increases from longwalls in Russia have highlighted the critical need to increase longwall development rates. Interestingly, virtually all of the underground production in Russia comes from the longwall mining method. Joy has been working closely with the leading Russian mining companies to fulfil their need for modern development equipment by successfully supplying eleven Joy miner bolters to the market over recent years with an additional three on order.
