摘要

Water resources constitute an important component of the biosphere with impact on the economy and ecology situation in adjoining territories. Their variability has a great importance on the human habitat. This paper presents an analysis of the oscillations of the Aral and Caspian sea levels and demonstrates that water formation in their watersheds significantly depends on climate change. On the other hand the climate changeability is connected with solar activity. The analysis of their water level fluctuations coupled with the variation of water resources formation in these basins show a good correspondence with solar activity. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V.
