摘要

The applications of the dynamic orshock-wave compaction in the area of processing ofhigh-T_c superconducting materials are presented anddiscussed. The basic aspects of explosive technologyand also the various features of the relatedexperimental techniques are reported. On the otherhand, the influence of the shock-wave phenomena onmacro4microstructure and physico-chemical propertiesof the compacted ceramic, and the quality-performanceof the final superconducting component areoverviewed for certain industrial applications. Finally,some basic theoretical and empirical models describingthe dynamic state of the material under shock and thestress-wave propagation are also included, in order tounderstand the dominant compaction mechanisms.
