A dynamic procedure for defining an order quantity

The problem of dynamic lot-sizing is a continuing subject of intensive research. So far, compared tostandard material requirements planning (MRP) systems, the newly developed solutions are not usedin professional software. This paper discusses the reasoning behind such state-of-the-art and presentsa procedure for dynamic lot-sizing, which is elaborated in conclusions and discussion.
