摘要

A new type of pressure sensor with no annular gap and no level difference in the tool surface has been developed. The principal structure of the sensor is the combination of an inner shaft and an outer tube connected at the tool surface and combined with a common beam at the other end. The sensor is available for various plastic deformation processes under different friction conditions. As one application of this sensor, the container pressure distribution in various extrusions such as forward extrusion, backward extrusion and pierce extrusion have been measured. The characteristic of the pressure distribution in each extrusion process has been made clear.
