Interest running high in Peace River Coal's assets

In British Columbia, plenty of speculation is taking place these days as to who might acquire Peace River Coal's assets. Among the field of Canadian coal producers, Western Coal is the hands-on favorite to purchase the assets. However, competition is certain to be keen. The first round of bidding attracted offers from more than 60 companies, many of them international steel producers.
