Europe: Could a turn around begin later this year?

Though we continue to hear it may be 2013 before the European thermal coal market shakes its long run of doldrums, a few observers think the turn-around could begin in the second half of this year, and happen rather quickly. Spot prices for Colombian thermal coal fell to $82.00/tonne FOB last week, their lowest level since April 2010. South African spot prices are near the $97.00/tonne FOB mark.
