Shipping rates from Puerto Bolivar to ARA ports are rising, a trend that probably won't change soon. "Cape size vessels are being pulled out of the Atlantic over into the Pacific because that's where the business is," a source said. "Many of the Australian coal mines that were flooded earlier this year are beginning to export coal again, and of course China's demand for raw materials is picking up."The entry of several new vessels that were scheduled to go into service in the fourth quarter is being delayed due to the slow down in world markets, the source said.
