Coal producers in Colombia's interior departments shut out at Cartagena

Coal producers in Colombia's Santander, Cundinamarca and Boyaca departments have experienced problems shipping coal out of the Port of Cartagena in recent weeks. In February, the Ministry of Environment shut down the coal terminal at Cartagena citing pollution concerns. Hundreds of coal trucks that routinely carry coal from Santander, Cundinamarca and Boyaca were left stranded with no place available to unload the coal.
