Speaking with Marshall Goldman, author of "Petrostate: Putin, Power and the New Russia," one gets the impression that coal isn't one of Goldman's favorite topics of discussion. The Wellesley College economics professor and senior scholar at Harvard's Davis Center for Russian Studies would rather tout the benefits of developing nuclear and renewable energy sources.
