U.S. could export 72 million tonnes of coal in 2008

David Host, president of T. Parker Host and rumored to be one of the most intelligent men on the U.S.'s eastern seaboard, came up with these estimates of 2008 U.S. export volumes. Port officials at Los Angeles and Long Beach told Coal Americas there are no plans to move significant amounts of export coal through their facilities due to environmental concerns.
