Grande Cache Coal: Coal sales volumes for fiscal 2008 will range from 1.4 to 1.6 million tonnes

Grande Cache Coal sold 0.4 million tonnes of metallurgical coal during its first fiscal quarter of 2008 (which translates to the quarter ended June 30,2007 for those of you who, like me, only took the culture of numbers math course in college). Grande Cache said rail delivery service improved greatly during the quarter, and as such the company was able to increase the volume of coal it shipped to port. "Grande Cache is continuing to experience strong demand for its coal products and anticipates selling 0.3 to 0.4 million tonnes during its second fiscal quarter (ended September 30, 2007)," Grande Cache said. "The company continues to estimate that its coal sales volumes for fiscal 2008 will be in the range of 1.4 to 1.6 million tonnes, contingent upon adequate rail service and the timely commissioning of equipment for full-scale surface mine operations at the company's No. 12 South B2 mine."
