摘要

PIM high speed steels containing O~12 wt%Cowere fabricated by gas atomizing, hipping and hot working. Themicrostructure, carbides and mechanical properties were evaluatedbefore and after heat treatment. The primary carbides after the heattreatment were MC and M6C type. The volume of the carbideincreases from 16 to 20% with V addition. But Co does not affectthe carbide volume. The hardness and softening resistance at hightemperature were increased with the Co content. The maximumbend strength and wear resistance were obtained between 5~9 wt%Co.
