Thermal coal stockpiles at European ports and power plants are hovering at record high levels. There doesn't appear to be any relief in sight for coal exporters in the Atlantic Basin. Few observers think demand and supply will swing back into balance before the fourth quarter of 2010 - or perhaps even 2011.
