摘要

The objective of this study was to develop an individual-tree distance-independent growth simulation model for Pinus koraiensis Stands. The simulation model was developed to integrate the four equations, needed to estimate crown ratio, potential diameter growth, modifier and mortality rate, into a user friendly interface modules. In order to investigate the performance of the simulation model, the model was used in predicting growth of a 17-year-old Pinus koraiensis stand for 10 years from age 20 to30. The results of the simulation showed that the average DBH of the stand increased by 4.1cm, stand volume increased by 109.5m~3/ha and the percentage of the volume increase by Pressler equation was about 7.4. Also, stand density decreased by 598 trees/ha or 38% due to mortality.
