The Effect of Knot on the Tensile Strength of Thin Wood Samples

摘要

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of knot size and location on the tensile strength behavior of thin wood samples using tension test. Strength ratio decreased with increasing knot size ratio. The results also point out the more streng th reduction caused by an edge knot than center knot.
