Railroad expansion will translate into big savings for Coalcorp

Toronto-based Coalcorp Mining said the planned expansion of the Fenoco railroad in northern Colombia will reduce tariffs by about 9.00 US million/tonne and save the company 30 US million dollars/year in charges. "The tariff on the rail line for the producers will be about 2.14 dollars per tonne, as opposed to 11.00 dollars per tonne shipping by truck," Robert Doyle, Coalcorp's chief financial officer told those in attendance at the annual shareholders' meeting.
