Using the CoLogica isotopic synthesis database: A complementary approach to synthesis searching via the major search engines

The CoLogica database is a structure-searchable synthesis database of compounds labelled with isotopes of hydrogen and carbon. It is extensive but not comprehensive, comprising of abstracts from both the early and the recent isotopic synthesis literature. Examples are provided of the use of the database in searching for reagents and conditions, for reaction feasibility assessment, in reconstructing literature syntheses and in de novo synthesis planning.
