Brazil's Votorantim and Colombian steel- maker Acesco may shelve plans to construct a steel plant in northern Colombia. The proposed plant, Siderurgica del Rio Grande de la Magdalena, would have the capacity to produce 1.4 million tonnes per year of hot rolled coil. Investment cost were estimated at US$1.3 million.
