Altantic Basin thermal market remains anemic

Demand for thermal coal in the Atlantic Basin remains very weak, sources tell Coal Americas. Coal stockpiles at Rotterdam are nearing full capacity. Some estimates suggest coal stockpiles at European utilities exceed 45 million tonnes, up more than 10 million tonnes over the same time in 2008.
