Management of Sepsis and Recurrent Abscess Formation Complicating Radiofrequency Ablation of Pancreatic Cancer Liver Metastasis and Whipple Resection

We present a case of liver abscess complicating radiofrequency ablation of a biopsy-proven liver metastasis in a patient with pancreatic cancer who was previously treated with a Whipple procedure. Management included prolonged percutaneous drainage of the abscess and afferent loop with subsequent surgical correction of afferent limb obstruction.
