Work halted on Puerto Brisa, court rulings could delay other infrastructure projects

Colombia's Constitutional Court has suspended development work on Puerto Brisa for 90 days so concerns of indigenous communities can be addressed. The ruling was handed down in early June. Plans call for the proposed multipurpose, multi-user port, to be located near the town of Dibulla in La Guajira department, to have the capacity to handle 30 million tonnes/year of coal.
