Clinical guidelines for the care of adult patients receiving home parenteral nutrition

We were extremely interested to read the review of clinical guidelines for adult patients receiving parenteral nutrition1 published in the journal that you edit, and in particular to read the methodology used to conduct the literature search on MEDLINE, presumably via PubMed although this information is not given in the review.Unfortunately, in view of the interest of the subject matter, it is not possible to reproduce the search used for the review, since there is no indication as to whether the search parameters were defined using Medical Subject Headings (MeSH). However, if such were the case, the search string could have been simplified since "Parenteral Nutrition, Home" [MeSH] includes "Parenteral Nutrition, Home Total" [MeSH] (see Fig. 1).
