Publications dealing with the components of the structural dynamic theory of tribosys-tems proposed by L.I. Bershadskii are briefly reviewed. In particular the reviewer considers in brief the progress of the concepts and classifications, new approaches to studies of tribosystems and new experimental methods, self-organization of tribosys-tems, and their graphic presentation.
