摘要

The tribological behavior of the polytetrafluoroethylene filled with highly dispersed organic silica being a product of a chemical reaction between sodium silicate and oli-gomers, such as phenolformaldehyde or epoxy and N, 'N-metaphenylene-bismaleimide. It is shown that introduction of the new fillers into PTFE increases by 200 times its wear resistance, which is preserved at elevated velocities and loads. It is explained by the formation of a continuous reinforcing silicate-polymer structure in the PTFE matrix.
