We consider the problem of sliding contact of two elastic bodies accounting for wear of their surfaces. The integral equation of the contact problem with wear is derived. It is shown that the equation for the elliptical contact spot can be solved and the influence of wear on the contact pressure and contact ellipse parameters can be estimated.
