摘要

Polyacrylnitryl (PAN) is characterized by a high and unstable friction coefficient both at the ambient and elevated temperatures due to the chemical reactions evolving at the surface. Fillers (graphite, MoS{sub}2) substantially alter the pattern of friction of PAN. Still, contrary to the case of tribochemically more stable polymers, MoS{sub}2 intensifies the process of tribooxidation of PAN aggravating its tribochemical instability. At the same time a portion of MoS{sub}2 oxidizes into sulfate.
