摘要

The effect of the microstructure parameter, such as carbide non-homogeneity and grain size of P6M5 steel, on the pattern of variations in wear resistance of cold upsetting dies has been studied. It is demonstrated that the dies tempered to the 11th grain number are most wear-resistant. Carburization of working surfaces can additionally promote the die wear resistance under the conditions of contact friction between the workpiece and the die.
