摘要

Tribological characteristics of composite coatings obtained by the electron-beam facing of nitrogen-containing chromium-manganese steel hardened by titanium carbonitrides were studied. It is shown that with increasing titanium carbonitride content in an X20AΓ20 matrix, the abrasive wear resistance increases and reaches its maximum at 40 wt. % of TiC{sub}0.5N{sub}0.5 in the composite. When testing with the block-on-ring couple at room temperature, the coatings show a higher wear resistance with increasing titanium carbonitride content. The additional heat treatment of the coatings improves their tribological characteristics and widens the range of permissible sliding velocities and pressures.
