摘要

A method of determining the dependence of the wear rate of bodies on the contact pressure in rolling tests is described. The slip of the rolling bodies is believed to be the main reason of their wear. Two modes of slip are considered, i.e. full and partial. Methods of assessing the sliding path are given for each mode. It is shown that if the dimensions and shape of specimens change slightly during wear variations in contact characteristics of the joint may be neglected. Using the linear wear of specimens measured in tests parameters of the mentioned dependence are obtained that allow one to calculate the life of rolling pairs.
